Open Room Highlight Discussions

 

Jr Dinar shared additional information he discovered of the New City that is being constructed 6 miles outside of Baghdad.  He watched a video of the project, which showed the production of the 100 thousand units/apts/condos of high quality; very modern & high tech with the latest technologies,  which also includes business centers; parks & infrastructures (roads & highways)

As  Jr Dinar begin to think about how the embassy in Cuba, was open after being closed almost 50 years, it dawn on him this was being worked on secertly for awhile! 

The same thought occurred to him with this project outside of Baghdad, he conclued that they had to be working on this project over 10 yrs & that something must be taking place soon, cause it doesn't make sense to be putting this much capital for a project  on a scale of this large magnitude on a rate of 1166!

 

DNC  asked what type of security would it take to keep the people working on this project protected or to keep the building from being bombed or destroyed?

JR Dinar's opinion is we aren't getting true information from the media of what is actually happening over in Iraq, what is being protrayed from the media is more than likely outdated information!  It would take thousands of offices to protect & secure this size of a city as well as the construction!

Keeping It Real asked are there any other developments, developing, where we can become stakeholders before it becomes public? Where can we go to see what projects are being developed?

Blk Pearl shared when we were interested in  "Doing Business in Africa," there was a website called trade.gov/dbia/ which provided a link that shows all projects & infrastructures in Africa, the Middle East & Asia.

 

Keeping It Real stated there is a gentlman by the name of T. Rhome, who is the chairman of Kauffman Foundation, they give money to people & organizations who are interested in creating small businesses.  Kauffman Foundation now have their organizations in

Iraq, Kuwait & Dubai....along with the 20 wealthiest Foundations!

 

 

Bank Story

 

GermanGirl shared her bank story of attempting to purchase Rupiahs & Dongs from her local branch of Wells Fargo....although she didn't have any trouble buying from them a week before.....but recently she was told by the teller she can purchase the Rupiahs at this branch, but she now must call Wells Fargo foreign currency department 800# to purchase the Dongs.  When calling the 800# she heard the recording message "We are not buying or selling Iraqi Dinars & We Will Never! 

She ask the family want do you think this means?

DNC  said he has heard from a few others about the recorded message from Wells Fargo, however he takes this to mean something good is on the horizon!

Wisconsin said he has been in this investment over 10 years, and he has heard the same recording from various banks over the years....from time to time, they would eventually start buying and selling again, then a year or so later, they would put the recording back on their message service or website.  In Wisconsin opinion it really doesn't mean much, since it hasn't so far lead to the RV!
