**The G.E.M. ~ GROUP plan to participate on The Price Is Right in Los Angeles...taping for the show will be in September 2015

 Crystal from Texas (Vice President of the Golden Triangle Chapter for the National Federation for the Blind)

May 9th 2015 she will be doing a Fundraiser in Beaumount TX, in the style of a

Fashion Runway Show for the Disables. The Runway show is called: Ripping the Runway for A Reason! Tickets are on sale now $5.00 or you may make a donation to the cause.

 In Remembrance of Tessie

 

KIR called Shepherd Chapel, AR & spoke with Kimberly regarding the donation that will be given in Loretta Broome (Tessie) name.  She recieved information that Shepherd Chapel is a ministry that teaches on the Bible, & Tessie has spent time studying with this ministry.

A tracking # was given (136022) for all donations that will be given in Loving Memory of Loretta Broome. (Tessie)

Due to the group indecisiveness on when a donation will be sent, we have reschedule to meet again Thursday 04/09/15 to agree on this options:

Deekin: Suggested a donation be given by Tuesday 04/14/15 & deliever within the week

DNC: Suggested since there is a tracking #e, for those that would like to contribute on their own can do so now, if other would like to give as a group can until wait until we are able to do so

Beloved: Comment ~ There is no urgency to give at this time...we could in fact wait until a couple of months or after the RV

 

Honorary Awards in the name of Tessie

KIR gave more clarification on Honorary Awards & it's criteria

KIR: Post RV if the G.E.M. Group decides to become a non-profit orignazation (501c), there can be fundraisers so

The G.E.M. Group can become involved in our local communities & other projects. 

These awards that will be given will be to those who have certain attributes & charaterisics as Tessier or since Tessie was a nurse over 40 years, maybe someone in the medical fields.

There will be a committee involved to write up the type of criterias & awards that will be given.

Although we have members across the United States, The G.EM. Group can also establish an online foundation,

where Tessie Awards can still be awarded by means of essays, contests, arts, to name a few.

** Did you know if you are a non-profit orginazation (501(c)) you can advertise free with TV; Newspapers; Magazines; Radio?  This is called a Public Service Announcment

KIR: Pay It Forward has been used everywhere, which usally means paying it forward Financially. Wouldn't it be great to give a different view of Going The Exta Mile, not just financially but with ACTION!

Honor God and all that he done for us...while making a Nationwide push for people to Go The Extra Mile!

BoMonkey: If someone from the group did an exchange is it possible to sent up some type of account where we can donate to help other members? Especially if an NDA is signed & you can't speak directly on the exchange or the rate?

Fabulous Girl: Love the idea of helping other G.E.M. Members but how do you avoid the red flag, due to you are only allow to give $14,000 as a gift?

Faith Forward reminded us that Pineapple stated that you can state this is a loan, and as long as you apply $1.00 towards the loan, and agree to pay back, this can be done.
